Gourmet Alaska has carried home brewing and winemaking supplies since the early days — fermenters, ingredient kits, and all the hardware between grain and glass. Whether you're pitching your first batch of pale ale or bottling your tenth Merlot, we stock what you actually need under one Juneau roof.

Complete starter kits for beer and wine — one purchase and you're ready to brew on day one.

Ingredient refills in-store: hop pellets, dry and liquid malt extracts, wine kits, yeast, and specialty grains.

Expert advice at the counter — our staff brews too, and they're glad to talk through your next batch.

Corker Rental — $3/hr or $10/day.

What We Stock

Fermentation Vessels & Hardware

Glass carboys, plastic fermenters, and food-grade buckets in 1, 3, 5, and 6-gallon sizes. Airlocks, stoppers, auto-siphons, racking canes, transfer tubing, and bottle cappers and corkers for the finishing stretch.

Beer Ingredients

Hop pellets, dry malt extract (DME), liquid malt extract (LME), specialty grains, priming sugar, and dried and liquid yeast strains. We restock regularly — ask at the counter for current variety availability.

Wine Kits & Supplies

We carry Winexpert and RJS wine kits covering everything from crisp Pinot Grigio to bold Cabernet Sauvignon — all with the juice, yeast, and fining agents pre-measured. Corkers, corks, capsules, and wine bottles available separately.

Measurement & Sanitation

Hydrometers, refractometers, thermometers, and pH strips for precision at every stage. Star San no-rinse sanitizer, bottle brushes, and carboy brushes round out your cleaning kit — because sanitation is half the job.

Start with a complete kit.

Our all-in-one starter kits take the guesswork out of your first batch. Each one includes a fermenter, airlock, racking cane, tubing, hydrometer, bottle capper, and caps — everything except the ingredients. Add a beer or wine kit from the shelf and you're ready to brew the same day.

Beer starter kits come with everything you need except the ingredient kit — add hops, malt, and yeast from our shelves to get started.

Wine kits from Winexpert and RJS include juice concentrate, yeast, and all fining agents — just add water, a fermenter, and patience.
